Granite Amazonite
Description
Granite Amazonite (pictured) is an igneous rock that contains potassium-aluminium silicates. Its distinctive feature is a characteristic light green, bluish-green or greenish-white colour, sometimes with a silky tint. It resembles mottled marble. The deposits are located in India, the USA, and the Trans-Baikal region of russia.
The best method of finishing is polishing. Due to impurities, the stone is characterised by weak iridescence. Amazonite is rarely used for construction, exterior work, or paving paths. Due to its colour range, it is used to make mosaics, small architectural forms, and even necklaces. You can also find green granite on monuments.
The natural stone is opaque, but thanks to feldspar, it has an attractive lustre. When heated too much, its colour becomes dull, so heat treatment at high temperatures is not recommended.
Our company offers Amazonite granite in slabs. Here you can buy large blocks and order slabs with non-standard dimensions.
